The 77 officers, master police officers and corporals assigned the Patrol Divisions "A", "B", and "C" handle the bulk of the calls for service and self-initiated events for the police department.

These General Patrol Divisions operate on a 4-day work week schedule with each shift being 10 hours. They operate continuously, around the clock. This deployment strategy allows for the overlapping of some shifts putting the greatest number of officers on duty during the highest calls for service periods of each day.

"Parks and Walks" and "Directed Patrols" continue to be effective tools in providing more direct contact between police officers and community members.
