Arrest Made in Connection to EZ Pawn Burglary
Odessa Police arrested Eric Aguirre, date of birth 09/12/1987, on 3-24-20 at approximately 0403 hours for Burglary of a Building “State Jail Felony”, Evading Arrest/Detention “Class A Misdemeanor”, and False Identification “Class B Misdemeanor”. Officers responded to 917 North Grandview (EZ Pawn) in reference to an alarm.
Upon arrival, officers observed forced entry at the rear door along with a gold SUV parked next to it. A male subject exited the business with a cart of merchandise. When the subject saw officers, he immediately began to evade on foot. Officers located the suspect hiding under a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Limestone.
The suspect gave officers a false name and date of birth was later identified as Eric Aguirre, date of birth 09/12/1987. Over a thousand dollars of stolen property was recovered and returned to the business. Aguirre was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
