Arrest Made for Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Another Felony
Odessa Police have made an arrest in connection to an incident that occurred last night in North Odessa. Jackson Lee McMillian, date of birth 11/11/1983, has been charged with Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Another Felony “1st Degree Felony”, Evading Arrest with Previous Convictions “State Jail Felony”, and for a Failure to Appear warrant.
On March 25, 2020 at approximately 1835 hours, Odessa Police responded to the 3200 block of Chestnut in reference to a subject with a gun. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant, who advised that a known person, identified as McMillian, had made forced entry into their residence and threatened them with a gun.
Further investigation revealed that McMillian had fled the scene before officers arrived. There were no reports of any injuries. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, an arrest warrant and search warrant were obtained and the firearm used by McMillian was later located.
On March 26, 2020 at approximately 1033 hours, Odessa Police located McMillian in the 3200 block of Chestnut and he immediately evaded officers southbound in the east alley of Chestnut. McMillian was eventually caught and placed into custody in the 2700 block of Colonial.
Investigation revealed that McMillian had a prior convictions for evading and a warrant. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, McMillian was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
