Odessa Police Make Arrest in Connection to Child Abuse Investigation
Odessa Police arrested Love Hambrick Jr., date of birth 06/16/1988, on 10-5-18 at approximately 0900 hours for Injury to a Child “3rd Degree Felony”. Officers responded to the 800 block of Barrett Avenue in reference to an assault victim. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspect, identified as Hambrick.
Hambrick admitted to detectives that he had hit 5-year-old son numerous times with a belt. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Odessa Police obtained a warrant for Hambrick, who was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

Odessa Police Make Arrest in Connection to Child Endangerment Investigation
Odessa Police arrested Aimee Garza, date of birth 02/06/1993, on 10-6-18 at approximately 1532 hours for Endangering a Child “State Jail Felony” and Public Intoxication “Class C Misdemeanor”. Officers responded to 1343 West University (Rent-A-Center) in reference to an intoxicated subject.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with an Aimee Garza and her 5-year-old daughter. The Rent-A-Center employees advised that Garza appeared to be intoxicated on a substance other than alcohol. Officers found Garza to have slurred speech, glassy pupils and unsteady balance. Garza was not making sense in her statements.
Officers observed Garza’s 5-year-old daughter to be running around unattended and Garza did not appear to be worried that her child was not near her. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Garza was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.
