Odessa Police Make Arrest in Connection to Enticing a Child Investigation

Odessa Police have made an arrest in connection to an enticing a child investigation. Curtis Presley, date of birth 10/07/1969, has been charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence “3rd Degree Felony”, Resisting Arrest “Class A Misdemeanor”, and Enticing a Child “Class B Misdemeanor”.
On November 18, 2019, a report was made to the Odessa Police Department involving inappropriate interaction between a 10-year-old boy and an adult male, later identified as Presley. Investigation revealed that an adult male approached the complainant’s 10-year-old son at Sherwood Park and obtained his phone number.
Investigation revealed that Presley sent numerous text messages to the 10-year-old boy, attempting to get him alone and to meet privately away from his parents. Presley requested to be hugged in exchange for gifts purchased for the boy. Investigation revealed that Presley was a registered sex offender.
Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, OPD detectives obtained a warrant for Presley, who was charged and arrested accordingly. Anyone who believes their child may have had any interaction with Presley is encouraged to contact the Odessa Police Department.
The investigation is ongoing.
