Arrest Made in Connection to Bank Robbery

LOCATION: 912 North Midkiff (My Community Credit Union) & 801 North Texas (Frost Bank)
An arrest has been made in connection to two bank robberies that occurred yesterday in Midland and Odessa. Wyatt Will Hambrick, 21 years of age, has been charged by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with two counts of the federal offense of Bank Robbery.
On December 26, 2019 at approximately 1104 hours, Midland PD responded to 912 North Midkiff in reference to a bank robbery. Investigation revealed that an unknown male subject presented a note to a bank teller and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
At approximately 1452 hours, Odessa PD responded to 801 North Texas in reference to a bank robbery. Investigation revealed that the same suspect presented a note to a bank teller and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no reports of any injuries during both incidents.
Through the course of the investigation the suspect was identified as Wyatt Hambrick. At approximately 1748 hours, the Texas Department of Public Safety located Hambrick at a rest stop in Midland. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Hambrick was charged and arrested accordingly.
Hambrick is currently in federal custody in Midland. It is important to note that a complaint is merely a charge and should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Please note that the photo shown below is from 2018.
